This is an excellent example of the Gothic style popular in the early 1920s. I stayed in this hotel once with a window facing the park that looked down Central Park South to Columbus Circle. It is frequently photographed from Central Park with the looming white marble curtain wall of the GM Building next door casting a dramatic clash of old-vs-new. I hope this building is never torn down.
